Chicken with Thai basil :

4 or more chicken legs

15 Thai basil leaves

2 tablespoons sunflower or olive oil

1 onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon powdered (or fresh) ginger

2 tablespoons soya

2 tablespoons of fish

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Salt

Pepper

1 red pepper (optional)

Preparation

Cooking time: 20 min
Step 1
Cut the chicken into small pieces.
Step 2
Chop the onion, garlic and ginger (if fresh), finely chop the Thai basil and set aside.
Step 3
In a pot, heat the oil for a few seconds, then brown the onions until they are golden brown, then add the ginger and pepper. Mix well.
Step 4
Add chicken, cook and stir to prevent stickiness.
Step 5
When the chicken is cooked, add the soy sauce and fish sauce and sugar.
Step 6
Mix.
Step 7
Add the garlic, the chilli pepper from which you have previously removed the seeds for a less spicy taste and the Thai basil, stir and cook for another 5 min over low heat.
Step 8
Serve with plain rice.
