Basil syrup (Franco-Swiss meeting)

500 g sugar

50 cl water

1 bunch of basil

Pepper

1 pinch of cinnamon



Preparation

Preparation: 45 min
Step 1
Cook the sugar, water, cinnamon and pepper for 30 minutes over a low medium heat.
Step 2
Wash and coarsely slice the basil leaves.
Step 3
Remove the syrup from the heat and add the basil leaves. Cover and leave to infuse for one day at room temperature.
Step 4
After the waiting day, pass the syrup to remove the basil leaves. Return to heat the syrup for 15 minutes and bottle hot.
Author's note
This syrup goes very well with fruit. And with the cottage cheese.
