25 cl olive oil

30 leaves of fresh basil

3 cloves (optional)

1 pinch dehydrated garlic (optional)

Cooking time: 1 min
Step 1
Put the basil leaves between two paper towels on a plate in the microwave for 1 min, this dehydrates them, which prevents them from getting damaged in the oil and is more absorbent to better diffuse their aroma.
Step 2
Take a 25 cl bottle, put the basil leaves in it and cover with the oil.
Step 3
Let stand 10 to 15 days before savouring your flavoured oil on a salad, raw vegetables, green beans, steamed potatoes, fish, meat...
Step 4
I add to my personal taste a little garlic and cloves, but be very careful not to distort the taste of the basil.
Author's note
You can make other oils with aromatic herbs such as thyme, rosemary, tarragon... and even verbena. I'll let you imagine your aromas.
