Ingredients

1 kg of strawberries

250 g sugar

1 sachet of pectin for jam to lighten the sugar dose)

1/2 lemon

1 bunch of basil

3 jars of jam with iron lid

Chop the basil finely but not too much.
Step 2
Cut the strawberries into small pieces.
Step 3
Mix the strawberries and basil.
Step 4
In a thick-bottomed pot, place the strawberries with basil and sugar. Let stand for 15 minutes. Thus the strawberries will give a little juice that will make the jam syrupy.

Then heat the mixture to boiling. Add the sachet of Pec Plus and the lemon juice. Mix well and boil again.
Step 6
The jam will start to thicken. Mix well to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Scald the jars.

Then fill them to the brim. Close them immediately and turn them over immediately (be careful not to burn them). Thus the jam will be sterilized thanks to the vacuum of air in the jar. Turn them over only after they have cooled completely.

I concocted this recipe based on the recipe for a strawberry soup with basil in it. It's a little different.
