Number of people

650 g of unprocessed veal

1 scoop of mozzarella cheese

1 egg

50 g breadcrumbs

1 clove of garlic

2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley

2 onions

1 red pepper

1 l of tomato sauce

3 tablespoons of olive oil

1 cube of defatted broth

Cooking time: 40 min
Step 1
In a mixer, mix 1 chopped onion, with the egg, garlic clove, parsley, salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the minced meat, add the breadcrumbs and mix well and adjust the seasoning.
Step 2
Cut the mozzarella into small cubes.
Step 3
Take a little chopped cheese, place a dice of cheese in the middle and shape each meatball. Brown them over a high heat in a large frying pan containing 1 tablespoon of oil.
Step 4
Melt 1 onion and sliced pepper over low heat in a casserole dish containing 2 tablespoons of oil.
Step 5
After 10 minutes, add the tomato coulis and put it in the blender. Add the crumbled cube and dumplings to this sauce and simmer for 25 minutes over very low heat.
Step 6
Serve hot, sprinkled with basil.
