3 tomatoes

1 jar of basil (you need fresh, it's important)

2 cloves of garlic (depending on taste, you can use more or less or none at all)

Olive oil

Pepper

Salt

400 g pasta



Preparation

Cooking time: 10 min
Step 1
Cook the pasta in the traditional way in boiling water.
Step 2
Meanwhile, peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds and cut them into pieces, remove all the basil leaves and peel the garlic and cut it in half to remove the germ.
Step 3
Mix together the tomatoes, garlic and basil.
Step 4
Place the mixture in a bowl. Add olive oil to taste to obtain a kind of cream, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
When the pasta is cooked, add it to the cream and stir well.
Step 6
It can be served hot, warm, at room temperature, or cold in a salad.
Author's note
This pasta dish is typical of Marseille. It is eaten as an accompaniment to grilled meats in summer.
