Sardinian gnocchetti or Maloreddu

Sardinian gnocchetti or Maloreddu

Number of people

350 g gnocchi

300 g Sardinian sausage or chipolatas by default

600 g of tomato

2 cloves of garlic

basil leaf

1/5 g saffron (usually in 0.1 g doses)

3 spoons of olive oil

1 pinch of salt

Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Sauté the chopped garlic in olive oil.
Step 2
Add the sausage or chipolatas previously cooked for 20 minutes and cut into slices, and brown.
Step 3
Add salt, saffron, basil and tomato meat.
Step 4
Cook over low heat for 5 to 6 minutes.
Step 5
Cook the gnocchi separately for 10 minutes, then add the cooked sauce to the gnocchi.
Step 6
Serve with pecorino or parmesan cheese.
