6 tomatoes

1 white onion
2 potatoes the size of a fist
Thyme
Laurier

1 spoonful of basil (or mixed basil)
50 g vegetable margarine
2 tablespoons olive oil
Pepper
Salt
Preparation
TOTAL TIME: 1H15
Preparation: 30 min
Cooking time: 45 min
Step 1
Heat the margarine and oil in a casserole dish to brown the sliced onion in very thin strips.
Step 2
Wash and cut the 6 tomatoes into pieces.
Step 3
Add them to the onions already browned and cook together for 10 minutes on a high heat.
Step 4
Meanwhile peel the 2 potatoes, cut them into large cubes.
Step 5
Wash thyme and bay leaves to place on top of the tomatoes and then add the potato cubes.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes then add the basil.
Step 8
Reduce the heat source and cook for another 15 minutes.
Author's note
For the wine, I don't know enough about it to give advice but I would have put a light red wine.
