Lamb stew with vegetables and beer

Number of people

1 kg lamb chop

5 medium onions

1 leek

1/2 lime juice

Herbs of Provence




3 medium tomatoes

1 green pepper

1/4 glass of lager beer

Cooking time: 1 h
Step 1
The day before, clean the chops thoroughly with water and put them in a container. Coarsely chop the parsley and basil, cover the pieces, then add 1 onion and 4 crushed garlic cloves.
Step 2
Add about 3 pinches of Provence herb and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Marinate everything, make sure to impregnate all the pieces and keep cool overnight.
Step 4
Cook the lamb pieces in the marinade over low heat for about 30 minutes, then remove.
Step 5
In a skillet pour 1/2 glass of oil into it, fry the remaining onions cut into strips, leek and finely chopped garlic;
Step 6
Season with pepper and salt lightly. As soon as the colouring begins, add the lamb pieces and sauté everything.
Step 7
Cut the tomatoes into small cubes, and add them to the mixture over low heat, then as soon as the tomato pieces have softened add the diced pepper and mix.
Step 8
As soon as the sauce thickens, add the juice from cooking the chops and stir.
Step 9
Simmer for 20 minutes, then add the beer and leave for another 15 minutes. Then season with salt and pepper after tasting.
