200 g plain bacon
1 l of moulds
1 l of shell
1 lemon
30 g butter
1 shallot

1 sprig of basil
1 teaspoon green pepper

Cooking time: 15 min
Step 1
Rinse the mussels and shells thoroughly in cold water, then wash and remove the basil leaves.
Step 2
In a small casserole dish, brown the diced bacon with butter.
Step 3
Add the chopped shallot, pour in the shells and mussels, then sprinkle with green pepper.
Step 4
Squeeze the lemon juice onto the shells and cook for 10 minutes, covered.
Step 5
Sprinkle with finely chopped basil and serve this hot stew.

This dish is also delicious when prepared exclusively with mussels!
