Sweet and sour tomato chutney

1 kg of tomato
250 g chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 small chilli (or chilli paste)
3 cloves
Basil
Thyme
Salt
200 g sugar
20 cl wine vinegar
Preparation
TOTAL TIME: 1 HR
Preparation: 15 min
Cooking time: 45 min
Step 1
Sauté the chopped onions, garlic and chopped chilli pepper (or add a little bit - to taste - of chilli puree).
Step 2
Peel the tomatoes and chop them. Add them to the mixture with cloves, chopped basil, thyme and salt.
Step 3
Pour the sugar and 20 cl of wine vinegar over the purée.
Step 4
Leave to cook over low heat for 45 minutes
