Italian-style sandwich sandwich

Number of people

4 slices of country bread, 1 cm thick

4 thin slices of Parma or San Daniele raw ham

1 buffalo milk mozzarella of 100 g

1 red tomato

4 basil leaves

1 tablespoon olive oil

12 g butter

Crushed pepper

Preparation: 1 hour
Cooking time: 5 min
Step 1
Peel and slice the tomato. Remove the seeds, store in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let it drain for 1 hour.
Step 2
Light the oven grill.
Step 3
Cut the mozzarella into 1 cm slices. Toast the bread slices and butter them on one side only.
Step 4
On the first 2 slices of buttered bread, place the tomato slices, 1 slice of ham folded in half, then the mozzarella. Drizzle with olive oil and cover with the other 2 slices of buttered bread.
Step 5
Grill and brown the men's croque-monsieurs for 2 to 3 minutes until they become crispy and the cheese is melted.
Step 6
Garnish each croque-monsieur with basil leaves and crushed pepper and enjoy hot.
