Blue and basil pudding

Blue and basil pudding

Number of people

200 g of rassi bread (if you have more bread, simply double the proportions of milk)

50 cl of milk

125 g blue (or Roquefort cheese)

3 eggs

1 bunch of basil

2 cloves of garlic



Preparation: 15 min
Cooking time: 45 min
Step 1
After cutting the bread into small pieces, soak it for about 1/2 day in milk, if you are in a hurry have the milk cool, the bread will soak faster.
Step 2
Crumble the cheese on the bread, break the eggs, chop the basil, add the chopped garlic, salt (not too much) and pepper. Knead all this mixture well with your hands, pour into a cake tin.
Step 3
Bake at 200°c for 45 minutes.
Author's note
You can add nuts, which will go very well with the cheese. This pudding can also be baked in muffin cups, which will make portions for the aperitif. Serve the warm pudding with a walnut endive salad.
