Provençal sandwiches from Maud

8 nice slices of ball-shaped bread
1 can of tomato with pulp
1 red pepper
2 onions
Stoned olives
Olive oil
Pepper
Salt
Basil
Herbs of Provence
Oregano
1 scoop of mozzarella cheese
100 g grated Gruyère cheese
Preparation

Preparation: 1 hour
Cooking time: 20 min
Step 1
Cut the pepper into thin strips or small cubes, set aside for the decoration of the sandwiches.
Step 2
Do the same with the onions.
Step 3
Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan.
Step 4
Sauté peppers and onions at the same time, adding herbs from Provence.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cut the olives into thin slices and set aside for decoration.
Step 6
Pour the contents of the can of diced tomatoes into the skillet.
Step 7
Season with salt, pepper, add the basil and reduce well.
Step 8
Add the chopped olives 2 to 3 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Step 9
Toast the bread slices lightly.
Step 10
Spread 2 tablespoons of the preparation per slice of bread.
Step 11
In a mixing bowl, pour in the gruyère cheese, and "shred" the mozzarella, mix everything together, and spread over the toast.

Place the peppers, onions and 1 whole olive for decoration.

Sprinkle with oregano.

Bake in the oven!
