Ramequin of potatoes with cream and bacon

Number of people

4 potatoes for cooking with water

1 onion

1 clove of garlic

20 cl thick fresh cream

Olive oil

Gruyère cheese

250 g smoked bacon

Cooking time: 1 h
Step 1
Steam the potatoes, which are well cooked but still a little firm.
Step 2
Grill the bacon in a frying pan with a little olive oil.
Step 3
Cut the onion and garlic clove, put them in a blender to finely chop them with salt and pepper.
Step 4
When the potatoes are cooked, peel them, place them in slices in the ramekin with a drizzle of olive oil in the bottom of the ramekin.
Step 5
Once the bacon is roasted, mix it finely with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Add them to the onion and garlic and finally add the cream. Mix everything together and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add a little chopped basil.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 150°C (thermostat 5).
Step 8
Put a layer of this preparation on top of the potatoes and finally put a little gruyère.
Step 9
Finish cooking in the oven for about 20 - 30 minutes.
Author's note
I served this side dish with chicken breast cooked with thyme and mustard, it's really good.
