Salted pudding with spinach and goat cheese

Salted pudding with spinach and goat cheese

Number of people

200 g dry bread (less if very dry)

200 g chopped spinach

200 g fresh goat cheese in a log

1 red pepper

20 cl of milk

2 eggs

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/2 onion

1 clove of garlic




1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Preparation: 30 min
Cooking time: 1 h
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
Step 2
In a large bowl, place the dry bread cut into small pieces.
Step 3
Slice the half onion and chop the garlic finely.
Step 4
In a saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic with olive oil, then add the chopped spinach.
Step 5
Season with soy sauce, pepper, basil and nutmeg.
Step 6
Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, to evaporate as much of the water as possible from the spinach.
Step 7
Add 20 cl of milk, mix well and leave on the heat until the mixture boils.
Step 8
Pour the boiling milk spinach mixture over the dry bread, mix and leave to soak for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Meanwhile, beat the 2 eggs in a bowl with a pinch of pepper and a few drops of soy sauce. Add them to the mixture after 10 minutes and mix everything together.
Step 10
Cut the goat cheese and pepper into small cubes, then add them to the mixture along with the sesame seeds and mix.
Step 11
Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan, then bake for 50-60min, watching the baking.

This dish is an ideal and original variant of the salted cake, whose recipe can be varied according to the remains of the fridge! Do not hesitate to add a few crumbs of tuna or salmon, dried tomatoes....
