Caramelized tomato tuna pie

Caramelized tomato tuna pie

Number of people

1 roll of puff pastry

1 can of tuna in its natural state

1 small can of tuna in oil or 1 can of sardine in oil

3 tomatoes (fairly large)

Step 1
Crumble the tuna alone or with the sardines, add 1 or 2 cloves of minced garlic (according to taste!), add pepper.
Step 2
Spread the dough in a dish and put a thin layer of mustard on the bottom of the dough and then pour the crumbled tuna over it.

Then cut the tomatoes into thin slices and place them on top of the pie.

Pour a dash of oil over the tomatoes, add a little basil and thyme (fresh is even better!).

Sprinkle the tomatoes with powdered sugar (about a tablespoon, neither too much nor too little...), the sugar will bring out the taste of the tomatoes and give them a sweet sweet taste.

Put in the oven after preheating for 10 min at 150-180°C (thermostat 5-6).

Bake for 1 hour, it is possible that the tomatoes will give water during cooking, take the pie out of the oven and gently pour the excess water into the sink, hold with a large spatula the top.

Put the pie back in the oven to finish "drying" it 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve hot, warm or cold with a good salad!
