8 red mullet fillets (frozen)

16 artichoke hearts

6 tomatoes

1 can plain tomato sauce

2 cloves of garlic

1 onion

1 green pepper

1/2 half lemon

Olive oil

Salt

Pepper

Basil

Thyme and bay (optional)

Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°.
Step 2
Put the artichoke bottoms in an ovenproof dish and place the red mullets (skin on top) brushed with olive oil on top. Season with salt and pepper and put in the oven for 15 minutes;
Step 3
While the red mullets are cooking, cut the tomatoes and pepper into small cubes. Put the chopped garlic and onion in a frying pan, cook with olive oil. Add the tomatoes and pepper, then the basil, thyme, bay leaf, tomato sauce and juice of the half lemon. Season with salt and pepper. When the red mullets are cooked, pour sauce over them. Serve with rice if necessary.
