Number of people

2 courgettes

1 pack of bacon (more or less according to taste)

1 puff pastry dough

4 eggs

20 cl light liquid cream

1 handful of grated cheese

1 small pinch of basil or thyme or other herb

1 butter for cooking courgettes

Step 1
It's very simple.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 120°, thermostat 4.
Step 3
Unroll the pie dough and put it in a pie tin. Let stand until the courgettes are cooked.
Step 4
Cut the courgettes into small pieces, not peeling the skin but washing them well.
Step 5
To cook the zucchini, heat the pan over low heat, place the small piece of butter in it to melt and pour in the zucchini.
Step 6
Wait a good 5 minutes, maybe a little longer, and check if the zucchini is slightly golden. Turn them over a little, blow them up and remove them from the fire.
Step 7
In the meantime, use a fork to make small holes in the dough (don't be afraid to do too much! If there is not enough, the pie will swell).
Step 8
Pour half of the bacon, half of the courgettes, then pour the rest of the bacon and courgettes together, mix a little and leave as is.
Step 9
Take a bowl, break the eggs and beat them until smooth. Add 3/4 of the cream jar (20 cl), perhaps a little less depending on the quantity of courgettes.

In the preparation, add a pinch of basil (or other) and pour everything into the pie.
Step 11
Try to hide as much as possible what is protruding and add the small pinch of basil over the pie. Add more according to taste.

A little advice, thyme gives a nice flavor to the pie.

Cook it until it is golden brown at a temperature of 150° to 180°, thermostat 5-6.

Serve hot or cold according to taste.

This pie is a real delight. For those who do not like bacon, it is possible to replace it with shoulder cubes that are not salted. You can also replace the liquid cream with milk, but the cream makes the preparation more creamy.
