Crispy with meat spices

Crispy with meat spices

Number of people

500 g ready-made vegetable stuffing (minced meat, half pork and half veal, herbs of Provence, garlic...)

100 g ground meat

1 onion

1 drizzle of oil

1 grated carrot

1 untreated lemon

1/2 tablespoon ground ginger

1/4 tablespoon of Ras el Hanout

1/4 tablespoon cinnamon

1/4 tablespoon ground cumin

1 pinch of salt

1 pinch of pepper

1 bunch of fresh mint

1 bunch of fresh basil

6 sheets of brick

1 egg

Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Sauté the minced onion until softened.
Step 2
Mix the stuffing and the chopped steak. Add the meat and spices with the onion. Season with salt (the stuffing is already salty), and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Stir with a spatula over high heat to crumble the meat. Once the meat comes off, wet with a little water and simmer for 2 hours on a very low heat. Add the grated carrot and the zest of the finely chopped lemon.
Step 4
Chop the fresh herbs and add to the mixture off the heat. Let it cool down.
Step 5
Put a part of the preparation in the centre of each sheet of brick and close it in a square, using egg white to close it tightly.
Step 6
Brush with egg yolk on top and make a small cut. Decorate with a basil or fresh mint leaf.
Step 7
Bake at 210°C, thermostat 7, for about 20 min, until the crispy ingredients are golden brown.
