10 cl extra virgin olive oil

500 g tomato sauce

1.6 kg of tomato (cubed / peeled / fresh)

100 g tomato paste

1 cube of beef broth

600 g ground meat (pork and veal)

1 clove of garlic

2 onions



1 sprig of thyme

1 sprig of rosemary

4 bay leaves

1 fresh whole carrot

1 sprig of fresh basil

Preparation: 20 min
Cooking time: 6 h
Step 1
Finely chop the garlic and onions.
Step 2
Dissolve the broth cube in 1/2 glass of water.
Step 3
In a large saucepan, brown the garlic and onion in olive oil.
Step 4
Add the minced meat, salt and pepper.
Step 5
Cook the minced meat until it loses its pink colour.
Step 6
Add the tomato coulis, tomatoes and concentrate.
Step 7
Add the Thyme, bay leaf and rosemary.
Step 8
Add the whole and peeled carrot.
Step 9
Add the beef broth.
Step 10
Bring to a boil, stirring for 5 minutes.
Step 11
Simmer for 6 hours over very low heat and with the lid closed, stirring occasionally.
Step 12
5 min before serving, place the basil sprig on the surface of the sauce and close the lid

You can remove the carrot at the end of the cooking process
