1 kg of melon

250 g Italian mozzarella cheese

4 tablespoons of olive oil

2 limes

1 sprig of fresh basil

Pepper from the mill

Salt

20 g slivered almonds (optional)

Step 1
Open the melon in half. Using a spoon, remove the filament and seeds. Divide the melon into quarters. Remove the bark. Cut the flesh into large wedges. Set aside in a bowl
Step 2
Drain the Mozzarella, divide it in the middle, then cut it into thin slices.
Step 3
On each plate, alternate 2 slices of melon and 1 slice of Mozzarella until completely and evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Wash the basil leaves, dry them in a cloth, chop them very finely. Mix them with olive oil and pressed lemons. Spread over the melons and Mozzarella.
Step 5
Serve as is, at room temperature.

Optional: sprinkle with almonds.
