Plate of rice and chickpeas

Number of people

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, chopped

1/2 stalk celery, diced

1 green pepper, diced

3 peeled tomatoes or a small can of peeled tomatoes

1/2 teaspoon fresh or dried basil

1 sprig of thyme

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

1 can of chickpeas (400 gr)

3 portions of rice

Black pepper


Preparation: 10 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Heat oil, add onion, garlic, celery, cook for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add green pepper, tomatoes, spices
Step 3
salt, pepper, then cook for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Stir in the chickpeas and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Serve with rice.
Author's note
This plate of chickpeas in sauce with rice can be served with your barbecue meats. Original, it changes the cruidities.
