Tuna with peppers, tomatoes and olives

Tuna with peppers, tomatoes and olives

Number of people

4 fresh tuna steaks

4 yellow peppers

4 ripe tomatoes

1 onion

75 g pitted green olive

1 bouquet garni

1 handful of fresh basil

Olive oil

Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Slice the onion, cut the tomatoes into rings and the peppers into strips. Chop the basil.
Step 2
Boil a pot of water, immerse the olives in it for about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a casserole dish. Throw the onion in and let it sweat for a good 5 minutes on a low heat. Then add the tomatoes and the bouquet garni.
Step 4
Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Add the peppers, leave to wax for another 5 minutes. Add the olives and tuna, salt and pepper.
Step 6
Cook for about 15 minutes, gently stirring the vegetables and turning the fish pieces. Sprinkle with basil and serve.

Serve with rice or potatoes in the oven.
