Faisselle cake for diabetics (low GI)

Faisselle cake for diabetics (low GI)

Number of people

150 g wholemeal flour or spelt

50 g cornstarch or maize starch

1 sachet of yeast

4 eggs

250 g of faisselle (plain, sheep or goat)

2 slices of ham

20 pitted green olives

1.5 tablespoons olive oil

6 fresh basil leaves



Preparation: 15 min
Cooking time: 35 min
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
Step 2
Mix the flour, starch, yeast and eggs in a large bowl and let stand for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the rest of the ingredients (ham, olives, olive oil, basil, faisselle, salt and pepper) and mix everything in a blender.
Step 4
Pour into a silicone cake pan (or oil with paper towel from a traditional cake pan).
Step 5
Bake for 35 minutes in a rotating heat in an oven at 180°C.

As an aperitif or as a main course accompanied by a salad, this light cake with a low fat content and low glycemic index will delight the gourmands who watch their line!
