Ingredients

200 g chickpeas
500 g dried beans
1 medium onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of parsley
3 tablespoons of flour
1 teaspoon of cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Preparation
TOTAL TIME: 1H20
Preparation: 1 hour
Cooking time: 20 min
Step 1
1) Soak the chickpeas and beans in water for 12 hours, drain them and cook them for 45 minutes in a self-cooking oven.
Step 2
2) Peel onion and garlic, chop them and the parsley.
Step 3
Put the beans and chickpeas in a blender (or food processor).
Step 4
Mix with parsley, onion, garlic, flour, spices, salt.
Step 5
Knead everything with your hands, adding a little water if necessary.
Step 6
Gather the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Step 7
3) shape about 30 meatballs the size of a 2 euro coin.
Step 8
Fry them for 2/3 minutes and then drain them on absorbent paper.
Step 9
Serve hot or cold with small tomato sauces with herbs, or yoghurt sauces.
Author's note
Canned chickpeas and beans can be taken, but the latter are less easy to find.
