Penne with ham and vegetables

Penne with ham and vegetables

Number of people

350 g penne

75 cl milk

2 tablespoons potato starch or cornstarch

150 g diced ham

50 g grated gruyère cheese

50 g grated parmesan cheese

1 zucchini

2 carrots

1 rutabaga



1 teaspoon of nutmeg

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh or frozen basil (at your convenience)

Preparation: 20 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Cook the pasta 11 min and drain.
Step 2
Cook the vegetables after cutting them into julienne strips.
Step 3
After 10 minutes, drain them.
Step 4
Heat the milk, add the potato starch.
Step 5
Mix cold with a little cold milk, let thicken slightly, add salt, pepper and nutmeg, then parmesan and gruyère.
Step 6
Put all the ingredients in a gratin dish: pasta, vegetables, ham, sauce. Mix.
Step 7
Sprinkle basil on top and drizzle with olive oil.
Step 8
Reheat in the microwave for about 7 minutes.

Author's note
I tried baking in the oven but it's much drier! The little bonus is to use a drizzle of garlic-flavoured olive oil.
