Red fruit minestrone with basil

Red fruit minestrone with basil

Number of people

1 bag of frozen red or wild berries (500 g)

1/2 l red wine, slightly full-bodied

100 g brown sugar

1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

2 cloves

2 fresh or frozen basil leaves

Preparation: 20 min
Step 1
Thaw the fruit in a colander and collect the juice.
Step 2
Mix the thawing juice with the wine, sugar and spices, bring to a boil for a few minutes.
Step 3
Remove the cloves.
Step 4
Divide the fruit into individual cups and pour the hot liquid over them.
Step 5
Sprinkle each bowl with finely chopped basil.
Step 6
Serve at room temperature.
Author's note
For the decoration and perfume, a fine spiral of browned orange peel can be added in the oven.
