1 shortcrust pastry

1 jar cooked red pepper, in oil

1 tray of smoked bacon

3 very fresh goats or 1 tray of feta cheese

2 eggs

3 large tablespoons of fresh cream

fresh basil leaf

Nutmeg

Pepper

Salt

Onion rings




Preparation

Preparation: 15 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210°C (thermostat 7).
Step 2
On the dough rolled out in an ovenproof dish, place the drained peppers cut into thin strips and then the crumbled goat or feta cheese.
Step 3
Add the coarsely chopped basil leaves (not chopped!) while keeping 2 or 3 whole leaves for decoration.
Step 4
Put the bacon on the dough and cover with the mixture of eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper (very thick mixture).
Step 5
Bake for about 30 minutes.
Author's note
You can also add a few onion rings after pouring the mixture over the dough, without pushing them in. When the quiche is cooked, present to serve with the fresh basil leaves.
