Savoyard gratin with Beaufort cheese

Savoyard gratin with Beaufort cheese

Number of persons

8 potatoes

30 cl liquid cream

300 g beaufort

6 eggs

1 onion

1 clove of garlic

10 g butter



Preparation time: 20 min
Cooking time: 55 min
Step 1
Peel and slice the potatoes. Mix them in a bowl with the cream, a pinch of pepper and a little nutmeg. Set aside.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 200°C (thermostat 6-7).
Step 3
Mince the onion and peel the garlic clove. Grate the Beaufort cheese. Butter the dish and rub it with the garlic clove. Arrange the onion slices at the bottom of the dish. Spread a layer of potatoes, put a layer of grated Beaufort cheese on top and repeat the operation twice more. Finish with a layer of grated cheese for gratinating.
Step 4
Break the 6 eggs in a bowl and place them on the gratin in the oven so that they cook like fried eggs. Serve with a green salad and country ham.
