Winter gratin with thyme and Beaufort cheese

Number of persons

12 medium potatoes, peeled and halved

60 g butter

1 onion, chopped

2 garlic, chopped

4 slices of bacon, chopped

20 cl liquid cream

180 g grated Beaufort cheese

60 g Parmesan cheese

60 g breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons dehydrated thyme

Preparation: 30 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Step 1
Cook the potatoes for 10 minutes in boiling salted water.

Drain them.
Step Three
Melt the butter in a frying pan and sauté the onions and garlic.
Step 4
Then add the bacon, fry for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Stir in the potatoes and sauté for 5 minutes.
Step 6
In a saucepan, put the cream to heat.
Step 7
Add the beaufort and let it melt while stirring.
Step 8
Salt and pepper.
Step 9
Put all the ingredients in an oven dish.
Step 10
In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the thyme and parmesan, salt and pepper.
Step 11
Sprinkle the potatoes with this thyme mixture and bake for 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Step 12
You can decorate your dish with sprigs of thyme before serving.
