Ingredients

1 egg (size A)
120 g sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
250 g flour
125 g butter
Preparation

Break the egg in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix with a wooden spoon until it whitens.
Add the flour, then mix with your fingers to obtain sand.
Add the butter and knead to obtain a homogeneous dough.
Strike the dough by throwing it from hand to hand until you get a regular ball. If the dough seems too greasy and soft, add a little flour.
Leave the dough to rest in the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
Spread flour on the table and on the rolling pin, then roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 millimetres.
Cut with a knife, a cookie cutter or a glass into the shapes you want.
Place these shapes on a buttered or greaseproof baking sheet.
Put in the oven for 20 minutes.
