This recipe is extremely simple.
All you have to do is put the chicken in an oven dish.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 210-240°C (thermostat 7-8).
Take the butter and cut it into pieces and put it on top of the chicken.
Season with salt, pepper and herbs...
Then, attack the potatoes... Peel them and then soak them in water to rinse and dry them.
Then you have to cut them up.
Then it's up to you... make pretty shapes if you want, I just make squares.
Actually, I take the potato, cut it lengthwise, turn it, and then after cutting it lengthwise and then turn it the other way around to cut it widthwise... and that makes kind of squares.
And I put all the potatoes in the dish around the chicken. The dirty ones.
And then I put half a glass of water in the oven and then I put it in the oven.
I let it bake for an hour and 15 minutes... more or less depending on the chicken and the potatoes.
I turn it regularly during cooking, on each side... And then if necessary I re-water it... like that, the potatoes bathe in the juice.
Once it's ready, just serve!
