8 well yellow golden apples
1 puff pastry (ready-made or homemade)
2 packets of vanilla sugar
100 g butter
100 g caster sugar

Cooking time: 40 min

Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).

In a round non-stick tart pan, melt the butter directly on the heat.

Add the fine sugar

and lower the heat to make a caramel.

Peel the 8 whole golden apples. Cut them in half and remove the core without undoing the halves. Arrange the apples in a crown in the dish,

put one or two in the middle.

Flatten with a spatula from time to time, the apples should poach in the caramel, which should not turn black, but just golden.

Sprinkle the apples with vanilla sugar and cinnamon.

Remove from the heat and cover with puff pastry, pressing the edges down well.

Bake in a medium oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

Enjoy warm.
