2 egg whites

100 g caster sugar

50 g slivered almonds

35 g butter

30 g flour



Preparation almond tile

Cooking time: 10 min

Preheat your oven to thermostat 5/6.
Melt the butter and let it cool.
Beat the egg whites with the sugar without letting them rise.
Then add the flour and melted butter (I use an electric mixer to save time).
On the baking sheet lined with baking paper buttered and floured, place small piles (the equivalent of a teaspoon) spaced enough. Spread these small piles with the back of the spoon.
Sprinkle with slivered almonds.
Bake 10 min in the oven at gas mark 5/6 (165°C). The tiles should be golden on the sides.
Remove the tiles and place them on a rolling pin to give them a domed shape.
For this recipe, it is best to use a silicone baking tray.
To give the tiles the rounded shape, I roll the soft baking tray directly onto the rolling pin and leave to cool.
Just be careful when removing the tiles, as they break easily.
