Ingredients  beef with peanut sauce
Number of persons

1 kg of beef for stewing or fondue bourguignonne

1 fresh whole tomato

2 lantern peppers (known as Habanero or bell peppers)

500 g peanut butter without salt or sugar

1 yellow onion, finely chopped

50 cl of water



Preparation beef with peanut sauce

Cooking time: 1 h
Brown the cubed beef, seasonings, and chopped onion for about 20 min in a large pot with a little oil. The beef cubes should have softened a bit.
Add 50 cl of water, the peanut butter, the whole tomato, without piercing it, simply put it down, and a lantern pepper without piercing or cutting it. Cook the whole thing covered for 20 min.
Take the tomato and the chilli out of the pot. Crush them in a blender, then pour this mixture into the stewpot.
Add the second whole chilli pepper to the stewpot without piercing it.
Boil the whole thing, covered, at very high boiling point until the peanut butter oil appears, first in small circles and then in large puddles. This will take about 20 min.
Adjust the seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic) and boil 10 min uncovered.
