300 g flour
75 g of 15% light butter (if it works)
100 g caster sugar
2 eggs
Orange blossom water
20 g baker's yeast
1 bag of vanilla sugar (optional)
1 bean!
Preparation king arthur brioche
Total time: 1h40
Preparation: 1 h
Cooking time: 40 min
Dissolve the yeast in half a glass of lukewarm water and then in a salad bowl mix in order: flour, sugar, soft butter and diluted yeast.
Then add an egg and knead for 5 min. (add a little flour if the dough sticks really too much). Leave to swell for at least 1 hour under a tea towel.
Add 1 tablespoon of orange blossom water. Knead.
Form a crown around a small upside down bowl and leave to swell for another 30 min.
Finally brush the brioche with beaten egg yolk, and bake in the oven for 40 min at 150°C (gas mark 5).
