1 West Indian pepper

1 slice of white cabbage

2 carrots

2 beef stock

1 pinch of salt

8 okra

1 clove of garlic

500 g long grain rice

200 g tomato sauce

Cut the meat into thick pieces, put it in a bowl, add the onion and finely chopped garlic, heat the oil in a pot and then add the contents of the bowl. Let the meat brown, pour the tomato sauce and bring to the boil. Heat 20 cl of water, put the peanut paste in a bowl, pour the hot water and stir with a whisk, stir without making lumps then pour the preparation into the pot.
Cut the carrots into large pieces, the okra into small slices and add them, together with the cabbage slice and the West Indian pepper (if you wish) to the pot, add the salt and the stock, leave to cook for one hour and forty-five minutes.
Boil 600 ml of salted water, add the rice.
Serve the rice with the broth.
