Ingredients

3 eggs
200 g brown sugar
200 g flour
150 g melted butter
1 level teaspoon of baking yeast
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Liquid vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
Chocolate spread (in liquid bottle like Vahiné) or Nutella
Chocolate noodles
150 g icing sugar
1 egg white

Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
Whisk the whole eggs with the sugar then add the previously melted butter and the sifted flour (with yeast + salt).
Divide the dough into 2 portions in 2 different bowls (2/3 and 1/3).
In the small portion, add the 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Add the vanilla extract in the other bowl.
Butter and flour 2 rectangular pans and fill each one with one of the preparations and bake 15 min in the oven (or in turn if you have only one pan).
Unmould on a wire rack and let cool.
For the dressing, cut the 2 cakes into equal rectangles (equalize the height if necessary). Cover one vanilla rectangle and one chocolate rectangle with chocolate sauce.
Place the chocolate cake on top of the vanilla cake covered with chocolate sauce and the plain vanilla cake on top.
Make an icing by whipping the egg white with the icing sugar.
Coat the Neapolitan with the white icing and sprinkle the chocolate vermicelli.
Keep in the fridge for 1 hour before tasting.
