2 fairly ripe papayas

125 g soft butter

125 g sugar

1 vanilla bean

Shortcrust pastry

Cooking time: 20 min
Peel the papayas, cut them in half and remove the seeds.
Cut papaya slices lengthwise.
Put the tart tin directly on the heat, melt the butter first, then the sugar and lightly caramelise. There should be enough "butter/sugar sauce" left over to flavour the papayas.
Place the papaya slices "star-shaped".
Cook over low heat for about 1 minute.
Remove from the heat.
Add the vanilla beans on the papaya slices.
Put over the shortcrust pastry and make holes with a fork to air.
Bake in the oven, Th 180°C, for about 20 mn, or until the pastry becomes golden.
Turn out of the mould immediately.
