Ingredients
  

  • 2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon-roll dough 8 rolls each
  • 4 cups apples peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup raisins

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a bowl, toss apple slices with sugar, butter, cinnamon, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  • Flatten 8 cinnamon rolls and press them into the bottom and sides of the dish to form a crust.
  • Spoon the apple mixture into the crust evenly.
  • Flatten remaining rolls slightly and place them on top of the filling.
  • Tent with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Cool for 15 minutes, then drizzle icing over the top before serving.
