- 2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon-roll dough 8 rolls each
- 4 cups apples peeled and thinly sliced
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Optional Add-Ins:
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ cup raisins
Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
In a bowl, toss apple slices with sugar, butter, cinnamon, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice.
Flatten 8 cinnamon rolls and press them into the bottom and sides of the dish to form a crust.
Spoon the apple mixture into the crust evenly.
Flatten remaining rolls slightly and place them on top of the filling.
Tent with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Cool for 15 minutes, then drizzle icing over the top before serving.
