Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients:

  • 8 croissants day-old or fresh
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • ½ cup caramel bits
  • ¼ cup mini marshmallows

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and any optional add-ins.
  • Slice croissants open like a book, leaving the bottom attached.
  • Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of cookie dough into each croissant and press gently.
  • Arrange on baking sheets and bake 17–20 minutes until golden and set.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Best made with day-old croissants to help them hold their shape during baking. Contains dairy, eggs, and gluten.
