Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Wagyu ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme

Optional:

  • ¼ cup finely diced bell pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering.
  • Add diced onion; sauté 3 minutes until softened. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds.
  • Add Wagyu ground beef. Let it sear undisturbed for 2 minutes.
  • Break up the beef and cook another 4–5 minutes until fully browned.
  • Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine.
  • Pour in Worcestershire sauce; simmer 1 minute.
  • Add any optional ingredients and cook 1–2 minutes more.
  • Let rest off heat for 1–2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Be sure to cook the beef to 160°F for ideal doneness. Use a cast-iron or stainless skillet to get the best sear.
