- 1 ¼ cups unsalted butter cubed
- 1 ¼ cups whole milk warmed
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Fold in warm butter-milk mixture, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth and fluffy.
Keep warm in a slow cooker with a towel under the lid, stirring occasionally.
